The following page is a list of the different in-game currencies.

Coins[]

Coin2

Coins are the main currency in Jetpack Joyride, as well as all of the following games. They can be used to purchase new Jetpacks, Gadgets, Clothing, Power-Ups and Utilities, as well as coin magnets for Vehicles, or golden upgrades of them. Coins may be earned various ways:

  • Picking up coins during runs
  • Winning coins from the Final Spin
  • Daily S.A.M. Challenge rewards
    • If all costumes from the S.A.M. Challenge are unlocked, you'll receive 15,000 coins on the fifth day instead
  • Cashing in Spin Tokens
  • Leveling up by completing missions (400-6000 coins per level, resetting every 15 levels)
  • Purchasing coins with real money
  • If the player gets a duplicate item from an event, they'll earn additional coins instead
  • Being rewarded 3,000 coins after not playing the game for a while. The player will get a notification (if they are enabled) saying they can open the game to claim the coins.

Gadgets[]

Gems (Jetpack Joyride)[]

Thatgem

Gems replace some of the coins when players equip the Gemology gadget. They are worth 5 times the value of a normal coin. Additionally, they are spawned by Cash Dash, and in trails behind purple missiles spawned during Rocket Time.

Double Coins[]

Double Coins are dark orange in color, while double gems are less shiny. They can be obtained by getting the double coins item from the Final Spin. All coins (including gems and diamonds) double in value.

Spin Tokens[]

Token

Spin Tokens are a special collectible item that appears in Jetpack Joyride. Upon dying, obtained Spin Tokens can be redeemed with useful prizes through the Final Spin slot machine, otherwise they can be cashed in for 100 coins each (200 if Coin Doubler or Double Coins is active).

Spin Tokens have the appearance of a golden X on a beige circle and float through the lab, leaving behind a beige trail and sparkles. When you collect one, it tells you how many you have collected so far, e.g. "1 SPIN TOKEN".

Gadgets[]

Event Tokens[]

Event Tokens are special tokens found during events. They are used as a primary way to earn the event-exclusive rewards. Event tokens change design and sound effects to fit the theme of the current event.

Diamonds[]

Diamond

Diamonds is a currency that only appears while playing the Bling It On! Event. Like gems, they occasionally replace some coins and are worth three coins each.

Additionally, large Diamonds are scattered throughout the lab in place of coin groups, each worth 20 coins.

Fruit[]

Fruits are a type of currency that can only be obtained in Cut & Run and Fruit Punch. While playing these events, all coins are replaced with fruits which are added as a score system to see how many fruits the player can slice in a run. Zappers and missiles will make the player lose 10% of the fruits they have collected (starting from the ones digit). After playing the event, every fruit collected is worth 0.5 coins regardless of whether the Coin Doubler is enabled or not.

Energy[]

Energy was the currency used in the open beta versions of Jetpack Joyride 2. Playing one round cost 5 Energy points. One Energy point took two minutes to reset, with the limit being at 30 points. However, players could earn additional Energy the following ways:

  • One of the Daily Rewards. 30 Energy is rewarded on Days 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23 and 27
  • Watching an ad after a round ends
  • Completing the second listed Daily Quest in the list of missions
  • Earning it from the Energy Generator or the tasks from the R+D Department
  • Watch 3 video ads from the Shop for additional 5 Energy each. They reset every 8 hours
  • Purchase additional 30 for 12 gems

This type of currency was removed in the Apple Arcade release, replaced by the Blueprints.

Gems (Jetpack Joyride 2)[]

Gems in the sequel are used to purchase items in the Shop, activate Cores and purchase some of the Hero Skins and Jetpacks. There are several ways to collect them:

  • They occasionally appear flying during the runs, much like Spin Tokens in the original game
  • Watching an Ad after a round ends
  • Completing the third Daily Quest in the list of missions
  • Earn from the Gem Mine or the tasks from the R+D Department

Research Tokens[]

Research Tokens (or simply Tokens) are used by the Research Machine to earn and upgrade the Powerups. They can be earned from the Experience Road or Token Factory or bought in the Shop for gems.
